snow!

We have had a few great trips to the "mountain" so far. Mostly warming up and getting our tricks back.

I've had some fun with the Banshee Bungee the last few days. Each of the last 2 nights, I've been able to hit rails that I never thought I could hit.

I got a few tricks on the downrail by ARC (parking lot-ish) tonight, but it was raining a little bit and water was on the camera lens and RUINED THE SHOTS!! BUMMERRR!!
So I'll have to try again assuming that this rain doesn't melt the snow.

I'm headed to Chestnut a few more times this week! Gonna be FUNN.

Anyway, my snowboard is freshly waxed and ready to go for my 16th season snowboarding this Saturday!
Damn that's a long time to still suck!!

weekend shredding

We spent this last weekend on Clinton Lake filming. On Saturday, we had some bad weather, but we we able to film a few passes with a chase boat! Good for new angles and what not. We had a big crew too!

Sunday was a solid day on Clinton also. We finally found the smooth water and filmed some cool stuff from shore.

Hopefully we have a trailer coming in the next few weeks!

We're getting a crew together for one last Wake Nation filming trip for the season.

Great Weekend!

We all had a great weekend at Chads and just about everyone was there!
We worked really hard to get some cool shots with the tube and the polecam.

Tom Snug Harbor 7.6.2010

On July 6th Tom worked 8 hours running experiments. Then he went out for a ride on Chicago Mastercraft's Monster wrapped X45. He landed these 3 tricks in a row without falling. Thanks to Snug harbor, Chicago Mastercraft, and Munson Marine for having us out.

Awesome Weekend!

We had an awesome weekend at the Wake Nation cable park in Cincinnati!
We shot a TON of footage and everyone got some banger tricks!!

got to ride today!

Went out this afternoon on meghos x2. good times on Clinton Lake. Beautiful weather and the water temp was perfect.
Wakesurfing and boarding were really fun. I haven't wakesurfed in forever but it feels awesome to be able to catch and ride a wave.
I forgot all of my documentation devices on the table so i dont have much to show for today. meghos mom took some pictures and a few videos. ill try to get one of those up here soon.

im not doin much these days. just workin and organizing my apartment.

I've been skating a lot and getting better, but still nothing work filming. I also have no one to skate with down here... Sadness.

They took the ice out of the ice arena so there was one pile of snow. I HAD to ride it. Even though it's May and it was 80 today. Spenny wasn't answering his phone and I wasn't going to do this alone. Finally he woke up from a nap and we had a sesh. I don't think I have ever got my stuff together so quickly. I was shaking I was so excited.
It was awesome. SOO fun to get one last sesh in.

last few snow days of the year

m'lady and i are in maine hangin out with my parents for the week.
been snowboardin a few times this week, and the last day on snow for the year is friday :(

didnt bring the thing to hook up my camera to the computer, so no b reel footy teasers for now,
but nothings been that good anyway. still fun to make turns tho.

Spring Break '91

Well Sunday was the last day at Chestnut for the season. They kicked us out and closed to mountain for the season at 4pm.

Chad and I had a good retro day. People were diggin our outfits for sure.

I have one more week of snowboard season when I go home next week. but after that.. its all wake and skate. Which makes me sad and happy at the same time.

Cant wait to shred the cable!

Spenny and I went out last night and found a snowbank big enough for a drop-in in the E-14 parking lot. We did some shoveling and had a sketchy but fun set up.
A cop stopped by and said "Well.... I guess there's really no rule against this..... you guys ok? any smoking or drinking" "no sir" "alright. well don't get hurt". and that was it haha,

Spenny and I have spent about 6 hours over the last week trying to get this one handrail on campus to work.
We cant get enough speed no matter how high we build the drop-in and how hard we pull on a rope.
So far, we have like 2 fall shots and a bunch of crappy filler.
We will keep trying... Just want one shot... It's a lot of work!

last weekend

Cp3 and I went to chestnut on Friday night and had a great time and rode until we were so exhausted we couldn't ride any more.
Chip and I each landed new jib tricks and rode well.
Chad arrived late Friday night and we stayed at a house nearby that his uncle was renting.
Saturday we pretty much tried to get shots all day.
Got a few good shots on the gopro cam that died pretty fast. Then we filmed the rest of the day until we went home.
Unfortunately, Chip and I probably rode better Friday night, (when the cameras weren't running) but we still had a good time.
We'll pretty much just concentrate on gettin better park shots for the rest of the season.
We tried a lot of new angles and shots and just messed around the whole time.

late night campus shredding

well spenny, chip, myself and new iwc associate nick had some fun in the cold and snow last night.
we did some riding at the igb building and then moved on to a ledge in front of the law building.
i will try to post a few shots later, but dont wanna give all the good stuff away :).

my boards busted, may be beyond the point of repair but hopefully i can fix it.
dont know which time it happened but i either went to short or too long on a big bomb drop.
totally flattened my edge and it busted through the base. yuck

fun night

went to the nut with a decent group: cp3, marky-mark, myself and my ladyfriend and chad met us there.
i rode pretty crappy but ended up getting a shot or two. chip was trying new stuff on skis and skiing well, chads the man with the vision and the camera, and marky-mark is the second week in a row with a wrist injury.

It took us 5.5 hours to get home. Sporty driving to say the least. Everything was fine until the last 30 miles or so. It had been snowing/raining/slushing in champaign all day and we knew it would be bad. But this was probably the worst weather I have ever driven in. The worst part was the wind! We dont get wind like that in Maine. It was gusting sideways (probably 40mph or faster) and blowing all the cars around on the icy/snowy road. Not good. My car with the box is pretty much a big sail haha. We saw a total of 3 semi's and probably a dozen other cars off the road. We actually ended up spinning a 360 on the highway and spun into the breakdown lane by the median, but I was able to just keep going. Might have needed to change my diaper after that one. We had a big caravan of semi's trucks and suv's all going 15-20mph with hazards on. Finally made it home. Slow and steady won the race tonight. I LOVE MY CAR.

midweek updates

well we got some updates on dans injury:
he is now a cyborg and has metal in his arm... yep, he needed surgery.
but hopefully this means faster recovery and a stronger arm!

i also started a vimeo account. this way its easier for me to post videos on here and they wont be 'unavailable'.

snowboardin on friday. hopefully film some more shots. gonna have to start doin newer and bigger stuff.

that is all for now. there is an extreme lack of snow on the ground here and its depressing...

weekend shredfest.... not as we planned

Welllll.........
Friday night was pretty cold... Chad, Spenny and I did a little filming just to check some shots for the next day. Fell pretty good on this cannon rail thing. Went to the hotel, had some lunchables, some beers, and some hot tub.
Saturday started off strong. Got to the hill a little later than expected but it was all good. Dan showed up a little later. We did a few runs then decided we wanted to race through the little boarder-cross course. Well, Dan and Chad had a little collision... resulting in Dan breaking his wrist:


Chad and Dan spent the rest of the day at the (new and improved) hospital getting x-rays while Spenny and I filmed some little stuff around the park....
It's really hard to ride knowing one of you buddies is out though. Tough to get motivated.
But anyway, we hope for a quick recovery for Dan.
Maybe some video clips soon.

This weekend should be pretty awesome.
We're plannin out a 2 day trip to the nut.
Hopefully we all get some good shots.

(pretty much anyone but Shaun White)
And lets go everyone but Shaun White in the pipe. Louie, Peetu, Mitranis, Scotty, Danny kass, etc.

Rain Sucks, Jibbing is Fun

With all this rain we've had, we've lost a lot of snow,
but spenny and I did what we could.
We found the only patch of snow on the only hill in town and set up the jib.

finally have our own rail

chip and i built this rail the other day and i set it up in my girlfriends backyard.
ill move it down to champaign and have it set up behind my apartment soon!

Heres a little preview of the building process and the first few hits.
Its little, but good for practice!
